kiddle – The Search Engine For Kids

I had the privilege of testing this new search engine for kids, kiddle.co. This search engine is headed up by Vladislav Golunov, the founder of FreakingNews.com which is where I got my start. I threw everything but the kitchen sink at this search engine and let me tell you, it is secure. This is an amazing search engine and boy do we need one. Finally a search engine that’s totally safe for kids. This is long overdue and it’s extremely well put together. Kiddle has my vote. Two thumbs up!

A few words from kiddle.co

Kiddle is a family friendly search engine enhanced by Google safe search, so you know you get quality results without any explicit content. Kids may find it difficult to change the default safety settings in Google, Yahoo, and other search engines. Kiddle does this job for you and blocks all explicit content by default, so you don’t need to change any settings. In fact it is NOT possible to turn off the safe-search filter on Kiddle, so you know you and your friends are safe searching here.

How is Kiddle designed specifically for kids?

Most Kiddle search results are illustrated with big thumbnails, which makes it easier to scan the results, differentiate between them, and click the most appropriate results to your query. Thumbnails serve as visual clues and are especially beneficial to kids as they don’t read as fast as adults.

Kiddle serves search results in large Arial font, providing better readability for kids.

All sites appearing in Kiddle search results satisfy family friendly requirements, as we filter sites with explicit or deceptive content. Please read mode on kids safe search on Kiddle here.

Kiddle is privacy-oriented. We don’t collect any personally identifiable information, and our logs are deleted every 24 hours. Please read our full privacy statement here.
